Common Young Women’s Health Issues In Today’s World

Been a lot of talk of making it easier to paradoxically both specify and generalize patients, where populations are divided by gender, then by age.

Statistics and medication have always had some ties with one another in Western medical perspective, with the numerical analysis, about female lack of desire and women's health news.

By even more demographics, all in an effort to discover out which groups are most likely to develop which health problems.

At the very same time, the numbers are utilized to examine whether medication would be effective on a large adequate size of the population to be beneficial.

Each sector of the population goes through different degrees of scrutiny and research study, with numerous sections showing medical commonalities.

Among these groups would be young women's health issues, female lack of desire and women's health news, and other women's issues, particularly around the ages of 21 to 60 or 70, and now, these days, upwards to, Hmmm (?).

Stress, think it or not, counts among the most prominent young women's health issues in the above-mentioned- ages.

The triggers for tension tend to differ commonly from person to person, however there are a few causes that can be considered typical, regardless of demographic.

Expert careers, family life, public opinions, and adult care can all bear down on a wonderful woman in this age group.

Juggling all these has actually never been easy on any (body), yet some some think that the emotional toll of the internal “household versus profession” dispute puts more tension on young women's health due to expected cultural and social roles.

Statistically speaking, they are more susceptible to stress than other female age, especially in recent years.

As a possible outcrop of female lack of desire and women's health news about tension, conditions such as stress and anxiety have actually likewise been kept in mind.

It is worth specifying that the forms of stress and anxiety and mood condition that occurs to women in the ages are generally not female-specific, such as postpartum anxiety.

Previously I discussed more on being a confident woman today and moving forward in life, and that opened the door for more in-depth considerations.

Among the factors to contribute to the emergingvalence of female lack of desire and women's health news, this issue would be the delicate balance between cultural understandings on female behavior.

– And how it compares and contrasts with career and drive.

– Tears and sobbing are typically viewed as weak points among the business elite.

Those women striving to make positions of power in the service world typically make an effort to reduce natural emotional responses.

Medicine and science both state that sobbing and the release of tears, in small amounts when proper, can really ease a great quantity of tension in females.

In theory, this resemblances how “restorative” striking objects is for men under the very same situations.

Skin care is likewise a significant issue for the age group mentioned above, especially since it does not have the resiliency and strength of youth.

It is an unknown truth that teenage skin is a lot more resistant to outdoor influence than adult skin, along with being more conscious topical treatments.

Time likewise contributions to the lower level of skin care during this age, as career or family issues begin to take more priority over appearances.

There are numerous manner (ins) , I shall say, which a concerned woman of any age can maintain.

The total health of their skin without investing time she might not have, making sure that skin damage does not become a major concern later on in life.

This, late in life can be a mindfulness / psychological reason why female lack of desire and women's health news find that we all need to be conscious to the fact we are constantly healing.

The Course in Miracles states, “Yet there will always be this place of rest to which you can return.”

Next, I'll be discussing the need to bring up threats presented to female health where smoking and lung cancer are concerned.

(As always be sure to search the web for helpful content on things like women's self-confidence for a better life.)

It likewise helps explain why numerous supplements claim to be efficient in treating female lack of desire and women's health news even in other areas.

Due to the fact that expectations play such a large role in sexual desire, over the counter items may declare that they're effective, although it's probably just a placebe result.

In the last few years, suddenless, the introduction of anti-impotence treatments has encouraged more research study to dig much deeper into the reasons for sexual health problems among both ages of women and with the guys, too.

Current medical advances yield more helpful therapies and reliable treatments to put the lust back into the lives of more couples.

(Please note, I suggest searching the web to learn more about other women's health issues that may lead to sexual health problems later, since expectations play such a large function in sexual desire.)

Abnormal Bleeding After Pregnancy

Waiting for the baby to be born during the nine months of pregnancy is not quite an easy thing. The woman's body normally undergoes a lot of changes, not to mention all the anxiety, stress and emotions.

Once the baby is born and pregnancy ends, a completely new life starts for you. When it comes to vaginal bleeding, lochia is something that follows birth. This discharge helps the body eliminate all the supportive tissue left in the uterus.

There is nothing for you to worry about. However, sometimes bleeding after pregnancy occurs and even medical treatment may be needed in order to stop the blood flow.

Any abnormal blood loss from the uterus occurring immediately after birth is known as postpartum hemorrhage. After pregnancy, it usually occurs within the first 24 hours after giving birth. It can occur at any point during the first 12 weeks after giving birth.

Signs and symptoms of abnormal bleeding after pregnancy

Making the difference between normal lochia and abnormal bleeding is sometimes a hard thing to do. If you notice the presence of red blood even after a week following delivery, this could be a sign of abnormal vaginal bleeding.

If you notice a presence of fever or chills, this may be a sign of abnormal vaginal bleeding too. Any change in the odor of the lochia is another sign of abnormal bleeding, as normal lochia should not have a bad smell.

If you need to change the sanitary napkin every hour then you are probably bleeding more than normally, another indication of abnormal bleeding after pregnancy. Late postpartum hemorrhage is also possible, occurring even after one month of giving birth.

What causes abnormal bleeding after pregnancy?

After birth, if the blood vessels that supported the placenta do not close off properly, bleeding may occur. Normally the uterus should start contracting immediately after the delivery, closing this way the blood vessels.

If this does not occur, then the blood vessels can not close off properly. Prolonged labor, the use of certain medications during labor and delivery or even too much stretching of the uterus from the amniotic fluid can cause problems.

It can cause problems with the uterine contraction after birth, causing abnormal bleeding. The main problem with abnormal bleeding after pregnancy is the loss of blood. It is a serious and even life-threatening problem if not diagnosed and treated on time.

Other less severe complications include anemia, low blood pressure, etc. If postpartum hemorrhage stops correctly after birth, it can start again at any point during the first month following birth.

Further blood loss is always possible during the first 6 weeks of recovery after childbirth.

Risk factors for abnormal bleeding after pregnancy

Some women have an increased risk of abnormal bleeding after pregnancy than others. Risk factors include:

• Placental abruption,

• Placenta increta, percreta, or accrete,

• Placenta previa,

• Retained placenta,

• Uterine atony,

• Uterine rupture,

• Uterine inversion,

• Lacerations during delivery,

• C-section,

• Using medications during pregnancy to stop preterm labor,

• Using medicines to induce labor,

• Prolonged labor,

• Quick labor,

• Getting general anesthesia during C-section,

• Obesity,

• Preeclampsia,

Gestational hypertension,

• Chorioamnionitis,

• Disseminated intravascular coagulation,

• Willebrand disease,

• Having had abnormal bleeding after pregnancy in the past,

• Being Asian or Hispanic, etc.

How is abnormal bleeding after pregnancy treated?

First of all, it is very important to identify abnormal uterine bleeding occurring immediately after delivery. Once diagnosed, the doctor or midwife will try stimulating uterine contractions by massaging the uterus and trying this way to stop the bleeding. An administration of synthetic oxytocin is also recommended. Synthetic oxytocin is a hormone that promotes uterine contractions.

If these methods do not help and the bleeding is not controlled, a compression of the arteries that supply the uterus is the next step. Checking the uterus for any cuts, tears, or retention of any pieces of the placenta is also a must, which could be causing a continued loss of blood after pregnancy. Hysterectomy and laparotomy are necessary in cases when no other conservative treatment methods have worked to control the bleeding and stop it.

Prevention of abnormal bleeding after pregnancy

Often problems during pregnancy or during delivery and after childbirth can be preceded by a close monitoring of the pregnant woman. Regular ultrasound examinations and physical examinations can identify any problem. It can also prepare the healthcare provider and you for any complications. However, it is not always possible to identify bleeding after pregnancy or prevent it.

A close monitoring of the woman for the first hour following birth is a must. This way your doctor or midwife will be able to identify and treat the abnormal bleeding on time. As mentioned, if not diagnosed and treated on time abnormal bleeding after pregnancy is a life-threatening condition. This is especially true if the bleeding occurring immediately after birth. Luckily, this kind of issues after pregnancy occurs rarely.

Only 1 to 5 women of 100 women may develop it after pregnancy.

Relationship Between Breastfeeding and Sleep

It is very important for you to understand the relationship between breastfeeding and sleep. Having a deep understanding of breastfeeding and sleep relationship will help you to know the right time to breastfeeding your baby. If you feed your baby at the right time, it is more likely that the baby will be stimulated during the day and sleep soundly at night. Your breast milk contains substances that serve your baby's need at each time of the day. Ingredients that stimulate your baby during the day and those that help your baby to have a sound sleep at night are contained in your breast milk. Given this, you can turn breastfeeding to your advantage as a nursing mother. All you need is proper timing.

There are three major ingredients contained in your breast milk, which induce and relax your baby's central nervous system. They also and enhance sound sleep in your baby. The concentration of these ingredients in your milk varies through the day. Researchers of the University of Extremadura discovered that the concentration of these ingredients especially the nucleotides was higher during the nighttime than during the day. This explains why your baby sleeps more at night.

Your breast milk contains a wide range of hormones such as prolactin, cholecystokinin, oxytocin and melatonin. These hormones play a vital role in relaxing you and your baby. Melatonin was undetected during the day in a sample of breast milk examined by the researchers. But they detected it during the night. The researchers were surprised to discover this but they were not able to explain the reason for that. It could have nature's own way of putting your baby to sleep during the nighttime.

Another research conducted in the University of Western Australia also shows that breast milk contains ingredients that cause babies to sleep soundly at night. As discovered by the researchers, the concentration of fat in your milk is high during breastfeeding and it continues to increase 90 minutes after breastfeeding.

Based on the above discoveries, experts recommend that you feed your baby with fresh breast milk. If you express your breast milk, you should not store it in order to feed your baby later on. The concentration of the ingredients in your breast will change. This will affect your baby's behavior. For example, feeding your baby with milk expressed and stored in the refrigerator for a few hours can make the baby to keep awake during the nighttime due to changes in the concentration of breast milk content.

Dr Cristina, the lead researcher in the University of Extremadura likens feeding a baby at night with breast milk expressed and stored for hours to giving a person coffee at night. This is so because it contains both substances that abnormally sleep at night and others that stimulate activity in your baby during the day. The concentration of substances that stimulate your baby during the day will be higher in breast milk expressed and stored for hours.

Breastfeeding your baby directly from your breast rather than expressing it remains a veritable means of relaxing your baby. However, if breastfeeding from the source is not possible for you, you can express your milk and feed your baby with that. However, as suggested by Kate, you have to store the expressed milk in a refrigerator and then feed your baby with it during the next day at the time it was expressed.

You need to increase your calorie intake up to 400 to 500 calories per day. This is because the process of breast milk production takes a lot of energy. Increasing your calorie intake will help to improve your energy level. Some foods that will boost your calorie intake include whole grain bread, apple, fat-free yogurt, banana, peanut butter, melon, berries, oranges, plums and other complex carbohydrates foods. You should avoid snacking on junk foods. They contain only empty calories that will do more harm to the body rather than improving your calorie intake.

It is not important to be on a special diet. You should rather concentrate on eating healthy foods that enhance milk production. Your diet plan should consist of balanced diet. It will be good to include a variety of foods such as fruits, whole grains and vegetables in your diet plan. This will help to change the taste of your breast milk. In other words, your baby will get different tastes of breast milk which will help him or her to start eating solid food quickly.

Taking more fluid

As a breastfeeding mom, you should always try to remain hydrated. Check the color of your urine and take more water if it becomes yellowish. It is a sign that you are becoming dehydrated. It is good for you to take up to 8 glasses of water per day. If you can not count the number of times you drink per day, then you have to make sure that you drink water when you are breastfeeding your baby. Babies normally breastfeed up to 8 times per day and by drinking when breastfeeding your baby, you will be able to take up 8 glasses of water in a day.

Alcoholic beverages are not good for nursing mothers and so you have to avoid them as well. This is because they are not good to your baby. If you want to drink alcohol, then you should opt for baby formula rather than breastfeeding.

You should also avoid seafood with high mercury content. Typical examples of such foods include king mackerel, shark, tilefish and swordfish.

Taking supplements

If you think that you are not getting enough vitamins and minerals, meet your doctor. He or she may prescribe supplies for you.

Pre-menstrual syndrome or PMS as we usually name it, is a phase that almost every young female adult and woman go through each month. Studies show that around 85% of women around the world experience physical and emotional symptoms associated with PMS every month; and 3% to 8% of them go through some extreme forms of physical and emotional stress. PMS is usually experienced a week or two before the menstrual cycle starts.

Symptoms of PMS:

PMS is no fun! The symptoms associated with PMS variants from a range of physical to emotional changes –

• Incessant food cravings
• Mood Swings
• Headache
• Muscle cramps
• Lower backache
• Fatigue
• Mild depression
• Bloating
• Breast swelling and tenderness

These are some of the most common symptoms that women complain about during PMS.

Factors leading to PMS:

There is no specific reason understood as to why women suffer PMS before every menstrual cycle; however, there may be a number of factors attributing to PMS –

Hormonal changes – The levels of estrogen and progesterone rise and fall before / during the menstrual cycle
Chemical changes – Ovarian steroids modulate activity in certain parts of your brain associated with PMS.
Lifestyle changes – You may experience extreme forms of PMS if you lead an unhealthy lifestyle. Smoking, alcohol consumption, drinking too much caffeine, lack of vitamins and minerals in the diet are some factors.
Overweight and lack of exercise – It is often found that obese women go through higher levels of PMS. Also, physical inactivity leads to PMS.

Healthy ways to treat PMS:

Follow a healthy lifestyle and exercise regularly to get your PMS over control –

Smaller meals – We often feel bloated during our PMS days. So, it is advisable to take meals in smaller portions for 4-6 times over the day. You'll feel less bloated and full.
Limit Salt and Sugar – It is our craving for salty and sugary food that increases especially during this time. Limit sodium intake to prevent fluid retention and the feeling of bloated out. Excess sugar (candies, cookies, jams & jellies, pies, cake, sweets) leads to rapid fluctuations in blood sugar thus aggravating moodiness and irritability.
Increase intake of complex carbs and fibers – Whole grains and legumes, brown rice, fruits and veggies work towards enhancing your mood and control unhealthy cravings.
Say no to cravings – Often to lift our mood and get rid of physical stress, we crave packet food rich in unsaturated fats and processed carbohydrates like chips, cookies and processed cold cuts. These tasty snacks lead to over-eating and upsetting our digestive system.
Calcium intake – Calcium-rich diet is anyways an essential nutrient in a women's diet. However, during PMS, increasing calcium intake in diet has been shown to reduce mood swings and depressions, fluid retention and pain. You might also consider taking some calcium supplements under doctor's prescription.
Limit caffeine and alcohol – These days you might have to think twice before filling that mug with your favorite coffee. Or you might have to do with a glass of juice or mock at one of those parties. Caffeine and alcohol has proven to increase stress and tension while worsening PMS pain.
Exercise daily – Enjoy aerobics and cardio training (running, jogging, brisk walking or swimming) these days. These exercises set the pace of your heart that easing anxiety and stress. It also helps maintain your weight during this phase.
Relax – Take some time out for yourself and treat yourself to a spa or massage day. Relax your body and it will make you feel way better.
Spend quality time – Good company works wonders on emotional stress. Spend some time with your friends or loved ones. Do what you like doing the most and you'll end up forgetting half of your PMS symptoms.

Hysterectomy – A Case Against Female Castration

Are you considering getting a hysterectomy? I've had one, and it was the worst experience of my life. My goal here is to help you to understand what I went through before and after having a total abdominal hysterectomy.

Please note that I am not a physician or a surgeon, but I am a casualty of hysterectomy, and this is my attempt at helping you to not become a casualty as well.

Many- SO many surgeons will not tell you the real stuff – and so, here goes!

First, I'll let you know what was going on with my case, and how I came to the person that I am today – due to the adverse effects of hysterectomy.

I had been fighting endometriosis and fibroids for years. My gynecologist said that a hysterectomy would solve all of my problems. Instead, my entire life has changed for the worst in every way imaginable!

The excitation of not having painful, heavy periods was incredible! What I did not know was that endometriosis can still grow outside of your uterus, so please do your homework if you are seriously considering having this life-ruining surgery done. Continue reading for my personal experience. It has been 15 years, and the nightmare is STILL ongoing. These things could likely happen to you.

1 . Swollen from head to toe. My belly hurt terribly, and I looked like I was 8 months pregnant. They give you something to wear around your belly to help the swelling go down, and you are told that, “everything will be back to normal in about 6 months.” Um, nope, did not happen.

2 . It's almost impossible to walk upright for 2-3 months. I could not pass urine without begging some picture on my wall to let the fountain flow- for what seemed to be forever. (I do not think that the picture answered, for which I am actually grateful.)

Now, if you just love having immediate, intense hot flashes, horrific insomnia, depression, and anxiety .. then by all means – have the surgery! Do you love it when your hair falls out in extreme proportions even after the, “Oh, it's just from the shock of surgery” phase? Then yep, go for it. My hair is now at 1/4 the amount that I previously had … and people have commented. Humiliating to say the least.

3 . For so many women: No matter how well you eat, or how much you exercise, the weight does not come off. What they fail to tell you is that your uterus holds all of your other organs and bones (ribbs) in place. When you no longer have a uterus, your organs drop until your ribs are sitting directly on top of your hips. No more waistline! I do not know many women who would like to gain 50 lbs.

4 . You may end up wearing a catheter due to urinary retention. Imagine the fun of having urine sloshing around in an odd bag strapped to your leg. Be sure to wear baggy pants at work. Ah, yes, it's a super fun time.

5 . If you figure out the right bio-identical hormones, your insurance will usually not pay for them. I tried the oral pills which were covered, but did not do any good. So, the next step was creams that are compounded. Usually a month's worth is hundreds of dollars. The creams have helped with the hot flashes and insomnia a bit, but I'll never have my body back. I'm still anxious a lot of the time … boy do I wish I had someone to tell me about all of this! NOTHING replaces the estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone like your own body. Sadly, they left one ovary in because it would, “wake up and produce the hormones as if you never had a hysterectomy.” Mine never woke up, and for an even more fun experience, the ovary became riddled with appeared “strange” and needed a biopsy which means another invasive surgery. They had to take the entire ovary. I went to sleep believing that I had “possible bowel and ovarian” cancer, and woke up to,

“Good news! You do not have cancer, but your organs were stuck to your pelvic wall, and some other organisms.

Adhesions is a fancy medical word for scar tissue – which coincidentally was caused from hysterectomy. The bigger problem is that the scar tissue had to be dissected to free my organs. This leads to even further scar tissue..and so on.

Now, the hormone problem is even worse. I recently paid a whopping $ 2,000. for a “bio-identical hormone specialist” which was supposedly to cover “free office visits for a year!” He overdosed me on progesterone, caused the fun weight gain to become worse, and conveniently did not return calls since he had my money.

6 . Get ready for a diminished, or non-existent sex drive, and a painfully dry vagina; devastating to say the least. For a select few (if ovaries are not removed), this is not a problem. Is it worth trying though? If you are a gambler of your life and body … well, nevermind, just say NO!

Please, please, do not get a hysterectomy unless you have cancer, and / or there is an absolute threat to your life, and there are no alternatives left.

Hysterectomy, and Oophorectomy (removal of ovaries) will ruin your life! It's not just me, there are numerous women with which I have spoken that regret having a hysterectomy. There is no way to “Put it back.” Please do not go through what so many women have – just because your doctor says so. Research everything that you can. Get a second and third, and fourth opinion. Women have committed suicide due to the consequences of having a hysterectomy!

If I had it to do over again, I would seriously never, ever even think of it as an option. I would go in to have other less-invasive surgeries many times over. Hysterectomy is a serious surgery. Please do your homework. Yes, I am begging. Do not be Deceived – Hysterectomy is FEMALE CASTRATION!

Vaginal Dryness – Have You Noticed Something Is Different?

Vaginal dryness is an uncomfortable, yet common condition affecting millions of women. You do not have to be menopausal to experience dryness. Women who are “peri-menopaal” also experience dryness in the vaginal area.

What is it? It is a condition in which the natural lubrication system of the vaginal is no longer working properly leaving the vaginal area dry, itchy, burning, and pain with intercourse. It is often caused by a hormonal imbalance. Typically, it is a lack of estrogen that causes not only dryness, but in more extreme or long term cases, vaginal atrophy. Vaginal atrophy or Atrophic vaginitis also causes changes to the cells of the vaginal lining, causing them to be more thin and fragile resulting in teething and bleeding. There are other causes for vaginal dryness such hormones such as dehydration, stress, medication side effects such as birth control, antihistamines, and autoimmune conditions such as Sjogren's syndrome.

When you have vaginal dryness you are more susceptible to urinary tract infections due to the lack of protection that the lubrication provides. The natural lubrication of the vagina helps to keep bad bacteria out and without it the normal flora of the vagina can become imbalanced leading to more frequent urinary tract infections. However, many women experiencing vaginal dryness have all the symptoms of a UTI (urinary tract infection) without any bacteria present. Symptoms such as increased urgency, frequency, burning and itching with urination can all be due to the dryness of the vagina. This makes things pretty uncomfortable down there.

What can you do about it? Many women utilize hormone replacement therapy either systemically or vaginally. There are many options for hormones replacement including natural bio-identical hormones to traditional hormone replacement therapies. Estrogen is the most common hormone to help vaginal dryness. There are products that are made just for the vagina and vaginal dryness. Talk to your doctor about which one would be right for you.

Other things to consider are hydration levels, make sure you are hydrating and drinking enough water that your urine is light straw colored to clear. Minimize stress as stress affects many systems of our body including hormones and can lead to vaginal dryness or exacerbate it. Take a look at your medications to see if any of those could be contributing to dryness. In all cases consulting your Naturopathic doctor can provide you with the most comprehensive and individualized treatment plan for your individual situation.
